Caring for and maintaining your worktops

One of the great beauties of choosing a marble or granite worktop in your kitchen is that this durable and beautiful material will stand the test of time with minimal care and maintenance.

Simply mop up any spills, clean using warm soapy water and dry the area with a soft cloth and your work surface will look as good as ever.

There are preventative steps that can be taken to help avoid damaging your worktops, many of which are common sense:

  • Protect the edges of the worktops as chipping may occur
  • Use a chopping board instead of cutting directly on to the surface
  • Ensure worktop is not exposed to excessive heat
  • Do not scrub using abrasive materials (use wire wool to clean drainer grooves)

We do recommend the use of Lithofin products – a range designed for natural stone, ceramics and terracotta – for periodically polishing your marble, granite or stone worktops.

Complimentary supplies will be provided upon completion of your worktop installation and thereafter we offer replenishments at great value prices. From Renue Polish Restoring Cream, to Multi Seal and Easy Care our team of experts will be happy to recommend the best product to use on your individual choice of worktop.
